Kanapaha Lotuses by Aliye Cullu

Kanapaha Lotuses by Aliye Cullu

This design is part of a new calming collection that utilizes artwork by Aliye Cullu.

About the Artist

Making a painting is similar to building a theatre set. Each day in a place is different with its moods, lighting, drama, and romance. The land, water, trees, and flowers all play their distinct parts in the scheme. Portraying Nature's fragile beauty is part of my role as a painter.

About the Art

"Kanapaha Lotuses" was painted from a photo (unusual for me) and hangs in a private home.

Supporting World Central Kitchen

At Aliye's request, all proceeds from the sales of these shoes will go to help provide nourishing meals to those in need by supporting World Central Kitchen.

Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while building resilient food systems with locally-led solutions. Applying our model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real-time, WCK has served more than 200 million nourishing meals around the world.

We know that good food provides nourishment, comfort, and hope, especially in times of crisis. Learn more at wck.org.

Sustainable Fashion for a Better World

At Kicks for a Cause, we believe sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a way of life. That's why we're committed to reducing our environmental impact every step of the way, while still delivering the quality products you deserve.

Did you know that the fashion industry is responsible for about 85% of textile waste? That's a staggering figure, with one in every five items produced ending up in a landfill without ever being worn. But we're taking a different approach.

At Kicks for a Cause, we work with on-demand suppliers to only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Plus, our Kornit printers generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers, making them a more eco-friendly choice.

When it comes to printing our designs, we use Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based inks that are free of harmful chemicals. And any leftover ink is disposed of according to the supplier's guidelines, ensuring we minimize our impact on the environment.

So not only can you feel good about rocking our kicks, but you can also feel good about making a positive impact on the planet.
