Bookish was created exclusively to help underserved youth expand their minds and foster creativity through the work at Writers Cubed. All proceeds from the sales of these shoes go directly to Writers Cubed.
About Writers Cubed
Writers Cubed, Inc is a nonprofit 501c3 with a mission to promote literacy and authorship in underserved children and teens. The organization strives to empower young people to expand their minds with reading and develop their own voices through writing conferences like the popular Teen Author Boot Camp (TABC), workshops, webinars, podcasts, and educational materials for schools and online audiences. They provide publishing opportunities for kids and enable them to learn in person from bestselling authors. Their Book Drop program delivers free books and inspiring author visits to Title One schools.

Quite simply, shoes should be genderless. US shoe sizes don't accommodate this outlook, so we've adapted EU sizing.

Sustainability is important to Kicks for a Cause. We’re getting greener every step of the way, while still providing you with the quality products you deserve.
Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage. What’s more, one in every five items produced by the fashion industry reaches landfills without being worn even once.
As Kicks for a Cause works with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction.
Additionally, We use Kornit printers that generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers, which lowers our carbon footprint.
The inks we use for printing are Oeko-Texâ„¢ certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. Kicks for a Cause takes care to properly dispose of any left-over ink according to the ink supplier guidelines.
